About St. John's

On December 21, 1890, the Fourth Sunday in Advent, the heads of seven Lutheran families organized St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Today our Lord Jesus continues to meet with the more than 300 souls at 4705 Brockway, where St. John’s is located.

Our Lord Jesus promises us that wherever “two or three come together in my name, there I am with you.” (Matthew 18). He meets with us through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel and through the sacraments He has instituted for us to use: Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Since 1983, our congregation has offered God's Word to our congregation’s children on a daily basis in our Lutheran Elementary School. St. John’s children have enjoyed thorough elementary training in grades Kindergarten through eighth for more than a quarter century.

If you are looking for a church home, we cordially invite you to consider the blessings we have enjoyed here as a congregation under the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

St. John's is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).
